Pastor Keith Lemley
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm
you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ!
I am Pastor Keith Lemley. I am blessed to called, by Holy Redeemer, to be your pastor until God
blesses holy Redeemer with a settled pastor. I am a native of metropolitan Detroit. I grew up in
Roseville and Warren, Michigan. I did my undergraduate work in mechanical engineering at
Wayne State University. I acquired an MBA through the university of Phoenix at their Southfield
campus. I was inspired to go into ministry full-time in 2007. I attended Concordia Theological
Seminary in Fort Wayne. Because of my age, education, and church experience I was accepted
into the Alternate Route to Ordination program. I served a directed vicarage and was ordained in
June of 2010. I am married to Donna Marie for 45 years. We have two sons who both have
families of their own. We are proud grandparents of Mary, 16, Lily 14, Sam 8, and Theodore 3,
see Donna for pictures.
The Intentional Interim pastor and the office of the Holy ministry is based on the role of John the
Baptist. He pointed to and prepared the people for their Savior. The job of the Interim Pastor is to
prepare his congregation for their next settled pastor.
We view the congregation as a system. We evaluate how well it functions. The Interim pastor is
called to maintain a non-anxious presence connected to the system. We make recommendations,
but leave the decision making to the congregation.
I will lead you through tasks designed to help you, as a congregation, appreciate what God had
done for you in your past; understand that change is a constant in our church and the world as
God created it; seek a new identity or refine your mission to save the lost; strengthen your ties to
our beloved synod commit to new leadership and directions.
Your servant in Christ Jesus,
